Intro
A bold, motion-first launch site for a night-time audio app.
Vesper is an app for late-night listening — curated mixes and soundscapes that change with the hour. The team needed a launch site that felt like the product: dark, atmospheric and alive.
I designed a motion-led site where sound waves, scroll and colour respond to each other, then built it in Framer with performance as a hard constraint.

Challenge
Making heavy motion feel effortless on every device, including older phones.
The brand lives in movement, but most visitors would arrive on mobile from social links. Heavy animation risked slow loads and drained batteries — the opposite of a calm night-time experience.
We needed motion that felt rich without costing speed.

Solution
A small set of signature animations, built once and reused everywhere.
Instead of animating everything, I defined three signature motions — the pulse, the drift and the fade — and built them as reusable Framer components. Each one is tuned for scroll, and simplified automatically on smaller screens.
The result feels cinematic on a big display and stays smooth on a five-year-old phone.

Result
A launch site that feels like the app and turned visitors into early listeners.
Vesper’s waitlist grew faster than any previous campaign, and the site became the main link in their social and press launch. The motion system is now reused across their app store assets and ads.
